Our guide will collect you from the airport/hotel. You will get to know the city of Kigali and visit the Genocide Memorial Centre.

2Kigali (Rwanda) → Kisoro (Uganda)
After you leave the city of Kigali your journey will lead through the rolling hills of Rwanda. During the trip you can enjoy the landscape with its terraced tea-plantations and local smallholder farms. As you reach the Ugandan border, the breathtaking sight of the Virunga Mountains, including the majestic Mount Muhavura, unfolds before you.

Today choose to visit either the Mountain Gorillas* in Mgahinga National Park, the Golden monkeys*, or a Batwa village.

You will explore the town Kisoro and the nearby Lake Mutanda. Take a short hike to the lake and go canoeing.

5Kisoro → Lake Bunyonyi
Experience the beautiful landscape at Lake Bunyonyi as you take a boat to your next accommodation which is located directly at the lake. Learn more about the history of this magnificent lake, observe various birds, go canoeing, etc.

Continue your trip and enjoy the beautiful landscape of western Uganda. From your accommodation you have a breathtaking panoramic view overlooking Queen Elizabeth National Park, providing you with the opportunity to spot wildlife such as elephants.

Go on an open jeep game drive through the national park and enjoy an afternoon boat ride on the Kazinga channel. During the safari is likely that you will encounter hippos, elephants, crocodiles, buffaloes, and various other wild animals. With some luck you will also see lions and leopards.

Choose to visit the chimpanzees* in Kibale national park or explore the wetlands and swamps of Bigodi on foot.

Go on a nature walk to the magnificent Nguse falls and explore the surrounding landscapes.

10Hoima → Murchison Falls National Park
Enjoy an afternoon boat ride overlooking the Murchison waterfalls. On the banks of river Nile you can observe wild animals like crocodiles, hippos, and more. Hike to the top of the waterfalls (or drive by car) to enjoy spectacular views of the river Nile.

11Murchison Falls National Park → Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch
Start with a morning game drive through the national park, with the chance to see the critically endangered Rothschild’s giraffes, but also elephants, lions, and more. In the afternoon you will visit the only white rhinos in Uganda.

Visit the craft market or the Uganda National Mosque in the capital Kampala.
If certain accommodations are not available, alternatives of equal quality will be actively pursued to ensure a delightful travel experience.

Rates per person

The tours are private, tailored to your group of up to seven people without any additional guests. For larger groups, we can arrange an extra car upon request.

Per person for double-room occupancy (single-room rates upon request). Prices are subject to change and exclude flights and visa.

*If you choose to visit the Mountain Gorillas, Golden Monkeys or Chimpanzees you require permits which are not included in the rates above. We will organize the permits for you. The current fee of the gorilla permit is 700 USD/person (from 07/24: 800 USD), the Golden monkeys permit 100 USD/person, and the Chimpanzees permit 200 USD/person (from 07/24: 250 USD).
As an alternative you can choose to visit a Batwa village (day three) and attend a wetlands nature walk (day eight) without extra costs.
